Day 247; Tis the season of wildflowers and caterpillars.

Day 247 of 365; Tis the season of wildflowers and caterpillars.

“I’d rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck.” ~Emma Goldman

{…agree with the above quote..& I would rather have wild flowers picked from the side of the road on my table, then any rose πŸ™‚ }

Such a beautiful time of year. The wild flowers are FULL in bloom every where I drive.

I stopped to pick some yesterday and almost { accidentally } took home a few little critters along with the flowers;)

Day 246; September wind blows in…

Day 246 of 365; September wind blows in…

Ooh did today ever feel like late Fall. If I hadn’t gone outside I would’ve sworn it was going to snow–the clouds were dark, and the wind was howling.

I took my son Rayce on a short country drive..and just soaked in the beauty that was blowing through my little corner of Wisconsin…..

Day 244; September Sunshine…

Day 244 of 365; September Sunshine…

Oh I just LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. September! Bugs are few, sunshine is radiant. Perfect adventure weather.

I took my kids and a neighborhood kid/friend on a little adventure tonight to Big Falls County Park in Eau Claire.

On the way home, the sunset was breath taking, so we pulled over on the side of a Country Road between Eau Claire and Rock Falls and took a few photos with my iphone…

This is me.. doing what I love most. πŸ™‚

Day 234; Wisconsin Rustic Road 107

Day 234 of 365; Wisconsin Rustic Road

β€œAll of life is a journey which paths we take, what we look back on, and what we look forward to is up to us. We determine our destination, what kind of road we will take to get there, and how happy we are when we get there.”

Tonight on the way back from Durand, I decided to take some back roads I had never been on before.. I didn’t use my GPS and just kept on going, and came to Rustic Road #107. Just the kids and I, no plans, no end goal of the drive , no where specific to get to..just enjoying life as it comes to us…

While driving very slowly we enjoyed our dinner, and I found so many neat & new hiking trails , places to explore, places to go back to with my Jeep, and places most importantly to sit an enjoy the sunset/sunrise by the waters edge.

If you take this route and get out..don’t forget the bug spray;)
